Modular Scaffolding & Building Equipment Ltd was formed in 1980 by P and J Clarkson, who-are the major shareholders. The company principles have almost 50 years experience which are strongly connected to the construction industry.

MSBE ran alongside associated companies of Modular Scaffolding Ltd, Modular Paints Ltd, Modular Coatings Ltd and Modular Development and Construction Ltd.

The company offers commercial professional advice and recommendations with regard to the purchase and hire of all scaffolding and non-mechanical plant.

Over the last 27 years the company's policy has had to change with regard to the purchase of the materials that are sold and hired by the company. In the first 19 years of the company's existence only tube fittings of British manufacture were used in the hire and sales stocks and the scaffold boards were of European origin cut from sustainable sources.

With the advent of the closure of all UK manufactures of scaffolding components the company now sources its equipment from India, China and the Far East and rigorous testing has taken place with all the products that the company sells and hires to ensure they comply with the relevant British and European Standards.

In 27 years of trading the company has had no litigation with regards to products supplied.
The company offers a bast range of scaffolding and associated products with their customer base ranging from individual householders, through medium size businesses, to specialised industries with the likes of oil, gas, TV and film.

The company exports materials from the UK to Australia, UAE, Norway, and Middle East and offers full facility for export documentation.

Transport in the UK is carried out predominantly by our modern fleet of vehicles, the heavier vehicles having the facility for mechanical off and on loading.
